A is for Anhinga. I spotted this Anhinga on my morning walk today. I wish I would have caught him (?) sitting on something prettier but I will take what I can get these days 🙂

LWRDPC – April Theme “Lamp Post”
Here is the lamp post in front of my house. At first, I thought it would be fun to have followers try and find the lamp post as it is overrun by Bougainvillea. I changed my mind because like many of you, I was in the online Lightroom/Photoshop class last Wednesday so I decided to try out some of the things I learned. I decided to apply the vignette tool to help find the lamp.
LWRDPC – April Theme “Something Purple”
For this shot, I decided to try the “fill the frame” technique with the Bougainvillea by the tree in the cul-de-sac a few driveways from my house.
LWRDPC – April theme “If it Floats/Splashes”
Well, as our challenge comes to an end, I am going to try and really challenge myself by posting all themes from photos within a few houses of my own home. I am reminded of my favorite song from My Fair Lady, “On The Street Where You Live.” Today, I saw this gator in the pond in the cul-de-sac just one house away from my driveway. While this isn’t anything new, I have never seen a gator who looks like he is sleeping on his side, I started to wonder if he was even alive but after a few minutes, he gave a HUGE yawn and turned his head. The second photo is the start of the yawn. Usually, I only see them briefly until they “splash” back into the water.
